Ethan Barquest is a Senior Consultant with Verdant Associates. He has extensive experience working with a broad range of distributed energy resources, including behind-the-meter generation technologies, battery storage, demand response, and energy efficiency. His data driven, in depth analysis of utility program impacts and market characterization provide actionable feedback to improve energy programs. His current work includes impact, process, and market assessments of California’s Self Generation Incentive Program and ComEd’s Residential and Income Eligible Lighting Discounts Programs.
He holds a Master of Arts in Resource and Energy Demand Analysis from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota. Ethan resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, but still holds a close connection to his home state of Minnesota. When he is not conducting analysis of DERs, you will likely find him in the woodshop, on a bike, or in the mountains.
At Verdant Associates, our people are our strength.
We are economists, data scientists, engineers, and social scientists. But more importantly, we are bikers, swimmers, skiers, hikers, and parents. We seek to leave the world a better place than when we found it by working tirelessly to solve the pressing climate change issues that will define this generation.
