Kurt Scheuermann is a Senior Consultant with Verdant Associates. Kurt’s research experience encompasses energy efficiency, renewable energy, and distributed generation program impact and benefit/cost analysis; comparison of conventional, emerging, and renewable energy resource air pollutant emissions characteristics; and estimation of technical, economic, and market potential of emerging renewable energy technologies. He has played a major role in collection and analysis of metered performance data for hundreds of larger distributed generation systems (e.g., PV, Battery Storage, CHP). His work in the field has included installation of residential lighting loggers in Jamaica and spot-metering performance of residential PV systems in California.
Kurt has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, an M.S. in Applied Statistics from Oklahoma State University, and an M.S. in Energy Analysis & Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where his thesis research entailed estimation of electricity impacts of a residential air conditioner cycling program. In his free time Kurt enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his wife.
